On July 9, 2010, Deep Foundation Projects Seminar was held in Tianjin. The sponsor of this seminar is Deep Foundation Pit Construction Branch under China Construction Industry Association. The organizers of this seminar are China Railway Tunnel Survey and Design Institute (CRTSDI in short) and Tianjin University. This seminar is aimed at strengthening the underpinning technology in foundation projects, support technology for extra deep foundation pit, reinforcement of deep foundation and treatment technology of filled-sea foundation by communication and discussion.
During the design of Guangzhou Metro in 2008, the underpinning technology for foundations is studied and proposed by CRTSDI. The sucessful application of this technology in Guangzhou Metro helped CRTSDI get the invention patent of this technology. Through this seminar, underpinning technology is efficiently promoted. And the technical strength and the competitive power of CRTSDI are advanced through communication with the sister companys.
